Our story is deeply rooted right here in East Boston. Nine years ago, our separate journeys brought us to this incredible neighborhood, and we fell in love with it instantly. We fell in love with Eastie's vibrant diversity, the tight-knit sense of community, the incredible local food, the beautiful parks, and the stunning waterfront views that inspire us every single day.
For us, Eastie isn't just where we live—it's the place we are proud to call home.
With over 20 years of experience working in professional design and advertising, there was always a creative dream in the background: to start an apparel brand from scratch. But it couldn't just be any clothing line. It had to be thoughtful. It had to be intentional. It had to mean something real to the community we love.
That is how Capoya was born.
What’s in a Name?
The name Capoya is a reflection of our family’s journey and our dedication to the craft of apparel:

"Ca" & "P" represent the coming together of our two lives as a couple, blending our individual paths into a shared vision.

"Oya" is the traditional Turkish word for intricate embroidery—a nod to the historic art of crafting something beautiful, piece by piece, by hand.
Capoya is our love letter to East Boston. Every t-shirt, graphic, and concept we release is fueled by a passion for local identity and a commitment to premium, thoughtful design. Whether you are repping your favorite street corner or showing off your hometown pride by the waterfront, we design clothes that help you wear your story on your sleeve.
